If I Were Told the Future - Test 11

The Testimony of Jesus

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 12. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course If I Were Told the Future, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If I Were Told the Future: Test for Lesson 11

  1. The third of the seven tools required to understand Bible prophecy is presented in the book of Revelation: «And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the of

  2. By comparing two passages of Revelation, which are almost identical, we can see that the words «Your brothers that have the testimony of Jesus» are synonymous with:
    «Your brothers the prophets.»
    «Your brothers the deacons.»
«Your brothers the teachers of the law.»
    «Your brothers the ministers.»

  3. How did the prophets bring the testimony of Jesus? In his First Epistle, the apostle Peter answers: «Of which the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you: searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when He testified beforehand the of Christ, and the that should follow.»

  4. The Acts of the Apostles also reports the important message of the prophets, when they brought the testimony of Jesus: «To [Jesus] give all the prophets witness, that through His name whoever in Him shall receive of sins.»

  5. According to the Gospel of John and the First Epistle of John, to bear the testimony of Jesus implies the following elements (check off all the right answers):
To acknowledge Jesus’ saving work on the cross.
To accept Jesus’ sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.
To put into practice the teachings of Jesus.
To reflect God’s character, marked by unconditional love.

  6. The Gospel according to John tells us that God wants to regularly remind us of the testimony of Jesus, so that we may never lose sight of the plan of salvation He has set up for each one of us. God has given this reminder mission to:
    His angels.
    the Virgin Mary.
    religious leaders.
    the Holy Spirit.

  7. Once «the testimony of Christ is confirmed in us», the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians invites us to prepare ourselves for this glorious event: «(...) waiting for the of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall also confirm you to the , that you may be blameless in the of our Lord Jesus Christ.»

  8. Many times in the book of Revelation, John speaks of the indissociable duo formed by «the testimony of Jesus» and:
    «the tradition of men.»
    «philosophical thinking.»
    «the word of God.»
    «salvation by works.»

  9. The book of Revelation says that bearing the testimony of Jesus won’t be always easy: «I saw the souls of them that had been for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God.» But the rest of the verse aims at encouraging us: «And they and with Christ a thousand years.»

  10. Finally, we know that in these last days, false prophets abound. The fear of being deceived could lead us to put aside the testimony of Jesus. Yet, the First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians advises: « not the Spirit. not prophesyings. all things; fast that which is good.»
