If I Were Told the Future - Test 30

Introduction to the Seven Seals

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 31. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course If I Were Told the Future, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If I Were Told the Future: Test for Lesson 30

  1. Immediately after the letters to the seven churches, the apostle John reports the following vision in the book of Revelation: «After this I looked, and, behold, a was opened in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, “Come up here, and I will show you which must be .”» So John saw another set of prophecies, disclosing what the future holds for us.

  2. One of the scenes of Revelation presents Jesus who is about to loose the seven seals of a very important book. At that point, Jesus is given all the following titles, except one. Which one?
    «The Lamb.»
    «The Morning Star.»
    «The Root of David.»
«The Lion of the tribe of Judah.»

  3. The book of Revelation reports this vision of the apostle John: «And I beheld, and, see, in the middle of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the middle of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns.» According to the Word of God, what do the Lamb’s seven horns symbolize?
    Jesus’ perfect love.
    Jesus’ perfect wisdom.
    Jesus’ perfect holiness.
    Jesus’ perfect dominion.

  4. The same passage of the book of Revelation also says, «And I beheld, and, see, (...) a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes.» According to the Word of God, what do the Lamb’s seven eyes symbolize?
    Jesus’ perfect love.
    Jesus’ perfect holiness.
    Jesus’ perfect omniscience.
    Jesus’ perfect dominion.

  5. A careful study of the opening scene of the seven seals, described in Revelation chapter 5, makes us understand that the opening of the seventh seal will lead to the following event:
The signing, by political leaders, of a worldwide peace treaty.
The union of all religions through ecumenism.
    A worldwide nuclear war.
    The glorious return of Jesus.

  6. The scroll sealed with seven seals, described in the book of Revelation, contains the destiny of mankind. The Epistle of Paul to the Romans clearly explains what the destiny of mankind is: «The wages of is Only Jesus is found worthy to open the seven seals, because, by His sacrifice on the cross, only Him can offer us another destiny: eternal .

  7. As Jesus is about to loose the seven seals, the audience sings a new song, containing all the following statements, except one. Which one?
«The scroll with seven seals cannot be understood.»
«Only the Lamb of God is worthy to open the seven seals.»
«The Lamb of God has redeemed us by His blood.»
«The Lamb has made us kings and priests to God.»

  8. The words of the new song in Revelation chapter 5 echo what God had announced to His people in the book of Exodus: «Now therefore, if you will My voice indeed, and My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all people: for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a of priests, and a holy nation.» What a wonderful promise!

  9. Before the opening of the seven seals, the audience pays homage to Jesus, giving Him thanks for the victory He gives us through His sacrifice on the cross. A chapter of the book of Revelation mentions the saints’ victory over Satan, saying, «They overcame him by...» (check off all the right answers):
«... the blood of the Lamb.»
    «... their good works.»
«... the word of their testimony.»
    «... the tradition of men.»

  10. As Jesus is about to loose the seven seals, the following tribute is paid to Him: «Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and , and wisdom, and , and honor, and , and blessing!» This great praise contains seven elements, once again emphasizing the perfection of Him whom we adore.
