If I Were Told the Future - Test 48

God and the Calendars

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 49. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course If I Were Told the Future, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If I Were Told the Future: Test for Lesson 48

  1. The Bible tells us that God is orderly, and that the order God established also affects the dimension of time. The Acts of the Apostles says, «[God] has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has the before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.» So the chronology of events is not the result of chance: God intervenes at precise moments in history, so that His prophetic calendar may be fulfilled.

  2. God’s prophetic calendar is not only accurate as to the length of foretold events, but also as for the order in which they will take place. During our lesson, we have seen that many biblical events took place at a precise moment, set by God. These events are (check off all the right answers):
    the fall of ancient Babylon.
the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
the beginning of Jesus’ ministry on earth.
the death of Jesus on the cross.

  3. Another very important event is marked in God’s calendar. The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians says that God has «made known to us the mystery of His will, (...) that in the dispensation of the of times He might gather together in one all things in , both which are in heaven, and which are on earth.» The book of Daniel confirms this fact: «Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the shall be.»

  4. The book of Daniel chapter 9 reveals that the prophet Daniel was aware of God’s calendar. Daniel knew that, according to that calendar, the fall of Babylon would take place after...
    ... 50 years.
    ... 70 years.
    ... 120 years.
    ... 430 years.

  5. God often intervened in the course of history, so that His prophetic calendar might be fulfilled, according to the promises He had made to His faithful people. The Second Book of the Chronicles gives an example of such a divine intervention: «Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be , the Lord up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia.»

  6. The book of Proverbs teaches us another important principle concerning God’s calendar: «There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless...»
«... he will have to choose the most important ones.»
«... he lacks time to fulfill all of them.»
    «... some plans aren’t worth being realized.»
«... the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.»

  7. In the letters, seals, and trumpets of Revelation, we have studied all the following prophetic periods, except one. Which one?
In the second letter, a 10-day prophetic period.
In the third seal, a 1260-day prophetic period.
In the fifth trumpet, a 5-month prophetic period.
In the seventh seal, a half-hour prophetic period.

  8. In God’s calendar, we find all the following prophetic periods, except one. Which one?
    The 1260 days.
    The 1335 days.
    The 1600 days.
    The 2300 days.

  9. The Gospel according to Matthew and the book of Revelation tell us that Satan and his angels...
... are not aware of God’s calendar.
... make fun of God’s calendar.
... behave as if God’s calendar didn’t exist.
... know that God’s calendar is always accurate.

  10. The book of Habakkuk concludes our lesson with this statement from God, «Write the vision, and make it plain on tables, that he may run that reads it. For the vision is yet for an time, but at the end it shall speak, and not . Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will come, it will not tarry.» So let’s be faithful and persevering, for God’s calendar will be fulfilled just as foretold.
