If I Were Told the Future - Test 54

The Signs of the Times

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 55. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course If I Were Told the Future, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If I Were Told the Future: Test for Lesson 54

  1. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus answered His disciples’ questions about the signs announcing the end of the world. He enumerated many signs, that we can divide into two great categories: signs in the world, and signs in the world.

  2. The Word of God announced many heavenly phenomena allowing us to see the imminence of the end of the world. Among the following list, check off all the heavenly phenomena that we have seen in this lesson:
    The darkening of the sun.
The sun dancing in the sky.
The moon becoming as red as blood.
    A great star shower.

  3. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus foretold that «there shall be famines (...) in divers places». Indeed, at the present time, only % of people on earth have enough to eat or even more, % are insufficiently fed, and % are definitely underfed.

  4. Jesus announced, in the Gospel according to Matthew, that «nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.» Since 1945 to nowadays, more than 150 wars have caused the death of more than 25 million people, and there have been only:
    15 days of worldwide peace.
    26 days of worldwide peace.
    63 days of worldwide peace.
    187 days of worldwide peace.

  5. The First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians foretells what follows, concerning the last days: «For when they shall say, “ and !” then sudden comes on them, as travail on a woman with child. And they shall not We are indeed witnessing an increase in the number of peace and disarmament conferences, which have few effects other than fulfilling Bible prophecy.

  6. The Epistle of James announces great struggles between employers and employees, by addressing this reproach to the rich, «You have heaped together for the last days. Behold, the of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.»

  7. A portrait of the moral condition of men, just before Jesus’ return, is presented in the Second Epistle of Paul to Timothy. This passage contains all the following qualifiers, except:
«lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud.»
«blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.»
«spiritual, generous, lovers of Nature, attached to the truth.»
«despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded.»

  8. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus compares the condition prevailing in the last days to the condition which was prevailing:
    in Noah’s days.
    in Abraham’s days.
    in Moses’ days.
    in David’s days.

  9. The Word of God foretells that in the last days, we will witness a fading in genuine Christian faith. To be more precise, the Second Epistle of Paul to Timothy says, «For the time will come when they will not sound doctrine, but after their own shall they heap to themselves , having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to

  10. In the Gospel according to Luke, Jesus clearly shows the importance of recognizing the signs of the times: «So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that...»
«... worldwide peace is near at hand.»
«... rebellious men will at last admit their error.»
«... all the Churches will be united before God.»
«... the kingdom of God is near at hand.»
