If I Were Told the Future - Test 81

Introduction to the Seven Vials

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 82. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course If I Were Told the Future, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If I Were Told the Future: Test for Lesson 81

  1. The seven vials of Revelation will express God’s wrath against the unrepentant men. Each one of us should therefore pay attention to the following statement, found in the First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, «For God has not appointed us to , but to obtain by our Lord Jesus Christ.»

  2. The Epistle of Paul to the Romans describes the attitude which leads to «treasuring up to yourself wrath against the Day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.» This attitude is characterized by the following points (check off all the right answers):
    Despising the goodness of God.
    Despising the longsuffering of God.
    Rejecting God’s invitation to repentance.
    Hardening one’s heart.

  3. The Bible confirms many times that the seven vials of God’s wrath will be poured out. Indeed, the book of the prophet Jeremiah says, «And it shall be, if they refuse to take the at your hand to drink, then shall you say to them, Thus said the Lord of hosts; “You shall certainly drink. (...) You shall not be : for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the .”»

  4. In the scene introducing the seven vials of Revelation, the people of God are described as if they were already in heaven, near the throne of God. These faithful believers are pictured in this way because...
... they will be protected, here on earth, from the plagues.
... they will have been killed before the beginning of the plagues.
... they will have been taken to heaven before the plagues.
... they will experience no distress during the period of the plagues.

  5. The introduction to the seven vials, in the book of Revelation, shows God’s redeemed people singing the following songs (check off all the right answers):
    The song of the Lamb.
    The song of Jacob.
    The song of Moses.
    The song of David.

  6. The introduction to the seven vials of Revelation presents God’s faithful people who are singing the song of Moses. According to the Old Testament, what is the subject of the song of Moses? (Check off all the right answers.)
The signing, by political leaders, of a worldwide peace treaty.
The coming of devastating plagues destroying the unrepentant.
God’s people being miraculously saved from the wicked’s attacks.
The union of all religions here on earth, to better serve God.

  7. In the scene introducing the seven vials of Revelation, we see the faithful believers expressing their gratitude to God. The Epistle of Paul to the Romans indicates one of the reasons for this gratitude: «Much more then, being now by His , we shall be from through Him.» Here is a wonderful reason for being grateful towards the Lord!

  8. The close of probation, the end of the period of grace granted to mankind, is marked by all the following signs. But one of these signs is not found in Revelation chapter 15. Which one is it?
    The temple filled with smoke.
The vials given to the seven angels.
The censer thrown to the earth.
    The temple opened in heaven.

  9. The seven angels receiving the seven vials of Revelation are «clothed in pure and white linen». These seven angels call to mind a prophecy in the book of Ezekiel, concerning the destruction of a lot of people. According to this prophecy, all these people will be destroyed because...
... they won’t have done enough good works.
... they won’t be members of a Christian Church.
... they won’t have been baptized by immersion.
... they won’t have received the mark of God.

  10. When the seven vials of God’s wrath are poured out, everyone will finally understand that the point of no return has been crossed. The book of Isaiah describes the reaction of both the righteous and the wicked: «From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the . But I said, “My , my , woe to me!”» Let’s not abuse God’s love and patience, and let’s accept right now the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our salvation.
