The Moment of Truth - Test 15

After Death...

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 16. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course The Moment of Truth, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

The Moment of Truth: Test for Lesson 15

  1. In many passages, and in a very clear way, the Word of God describes death as:
    a sleep.
    a transformation into an angel.
a luminous tunnel leading to heaven.
a transfer from one body to another.

  2. The Gospel according to John confirms the answer to the previous question, with the story of Lazarus’ resurrection. It says, «Jesus spoke of [Lazarus’] , but they thought that He had spoken of taking of in . Then said Jesus to them plainly, “Lazarus is .”»

  3. The book of Ecclesiastes describes very well what is going on in the abode of the dead: «Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no , nor , nor , nor , in the grave, where you go.»

  4. According to the Bible, what happens to the righteous, when they die?
They ascend to heaven, and stay in Paradise forever.
Their soul remains on earth, to guide the living.
They rest in the grave, completely unconscious.
They are reincarnated in another body, destined for a happier life.

  5. The Hebrew word «Sheol» and the Greek word «Hades» are both used in the Bible to describe the place where all the dead stay. What is the meaning of these two words?
    «Paradise».
    «Hell with eternal sufferings».
    «Purgatory».
    «Grave».

  6. It is plainly useless to pray for the dead. The Second Book of Samuel clearly demonstrates this point by quoting King David’s words, after the death of his son: «But now he is ; why should I fast? Can I bring him again? I shall go to him, but he shall not to me.»

  7. In our lesson, we have seen a severe warning from God, reported in the book of Deuteronomy: «There shall not be found among you (...) a medium, or a , or one who calls up the . For all who do these things are an to the Lord.»

  8. According to the Word of God, what happens when we try to communicate with a dead person?
We may get important answers to our questions from the deceased.
We can express our love for the deceased.
We may be comforted by the deceased.
We may be deceived by Satan impersonating the deceased.

  9. The belief of reincarnation originates from Satan’s first lie to Eve, in the garden of Eden, «You shall not surely But the Epistle to the Hebrews says, on the contrary, «It is appointed to men to die, but after this the

  10. In many places, the Word of God plainly teaches that there will be two resurrections. Which ones? (Check off all the right answers.)
The resurrection of the righteous, at the time of Jesus’ return.
The resurrection of the wicked, at the time of Jesus’ return.
The resurrection of the righteous, after the millennium.
The resurrection of the wicked, after the millennium.
