The Moment of Truth - Test 39

Our Body: a User’s Manual

In order to check your understanding and your progress in the study of the Word of God, we invite you to fill out this short test and return it to us. The correct answers will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

A mark of 70% or better will allow you to submit the test of Lesson 40. Upon the completion of the entire Bible course The Moment of Truth, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

The Moment of Truth: Test for Lesson 39

  1. In his First Epistle to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul asks us the following question, «Know you not that your body is the of the which is in you?» And then, he adds, «Therefore God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God wants us to have a sound mind in a sound body.

  2. A lifestyle balancing work and rest is the way to maintain optimal health, both physical and mental. One of God’s Ten Commandments, in the book of Exodus, precisely furthers this good balance. Which commandment is it?
    The second commandment.
    The fourth commandment.
    The sixth commandment.
    The eight commandment.

  3. The book of Proverbs gives a sad description of the effects of alcohol on man. Among the following list, please check off all the elements which are included in this description:
«Your eyes shall behold strange women.»
«Your heart shall utter perverse things.»
«You shall be as he that lies down in the middle of the sea.»
«Your spirit shall understand the hidden meaning of life.»

  4. There is another crucial reason, reported in the book of Leviticus, why God asks us to avoid alcohol: «Do not drink wine nor strong drink, (...) that you may put between and unholy, and between unclean and clean; and that you may the children of Israel all the which the Lord has spoken to them.»

  5. In the book of Isaiah, God asks us to avoid everything that is harmful to our health: «Why do you spend money for that which is not ? And your labor for that which not? Listen diligently to Me, and eat you that which is , and let your soul delight itself in

  6. The book of Genesis tells us that after the Flood, a new element was added to man’s diet. However, this new diet was followed by a dramatic decrease in man’s life expectancy. What was this new food?
    Fruits.
    Vegetables.
    Nuts.
    Flesh.

  7. In the book of Leviticus, God reminds us of this command which was already known in the days of Noah, «You shall therefore put between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and you shall not make your souls by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have from you as unclean. And you shall be to Me, for I the Lord am holy.»

  8. The books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy help us to identify which animals are clean and unclean. Among the following list, please check off all the animals which God declared unclean, and therefore unfit for consumption:
    Swine.
    Hare.
    Shellfish and seafood.
    Chicken.

  9. Some people think that God has given us a lot of food restrictions just to bother us. But the book of Deuteronomy gives us the real reason for these restrictions: «The Lord commanded us to all these , to fear the Lord our God, for our always, that He might preserve us , as it is at this day.»

  10. Whatever bad habit we want to get rid of (tobacco, alcohol, unclean meat), we can rely on God’s promise, written in the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, «There has no temptation taken you but such as is to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are And Paul adds, in his Epistle to the Philippians, «I can do things through Christ which me.»
