Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us

«When you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret.»  (Matthew 6:6).

Your privacy is important to Cyberspace Ministry. We understand that your spiritual life is a personal and private matter, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible visiting our website and using its services.

This Privacy Policy will tell you what information we collect, how we protect it and what choices you have about how that information is used. We urge you to read our Privacy Policy so that you may understand both our commitment to you and your privacy, and how you can participate in that commitment.

The following articles make up our Privacy Policy. We hope that reading them gives you a clear idea of how we manage personal information. For immediate access to a particular topic, click on the title of that article.

Part 1:  Personal Information We Collect

We collect information in several distinct areas: when you send a Bible lesson test, ask a Bible question, send a spiritual gifts assessment, submit a prayer request, participate in our monthly drawing, or ask a technical support question. The information we may collect in some of these areas is as follows:

  • Name;
  • E-mail address;
  • Age group [not mandatory];
  • Sex [not mandatory];
  • Religion [not mandatory];
  • Country [not mandatory];
  • IP Address (*).

(*) All web servers collect the client’s IP address. This is required in order to provide the client with the requested web pages. At times, Cyberspace Ministry may use an IP address to derive the approximate state/province and country of the user.

When you order one of our products, or win our monthly drawing, the extra information we collect is as follows:

  • Address;
  • City;
  • State/Province;
  • Zip Code/Postal Code.

Cyberspace Ministry does not use cookies to track what other sites you have visited, or to look at or track any personal or confidential information about you.

Please note that when you use PayPal to buy our products online, you provide only your PayPal E-mail address. We receive payment from PayPal without ever seeing your financial information (credit card or debit card number, bank account number, etc.). To help safeguard you against identity theft, every PayPal payment is followed by an E-mail confirming your transaction.

Part 2:  Disclosure of Your Information

Cyberspace Ministry will not disclose to anyone any information it gathers from you which could be used to identify or contact you, unless you authorize us to do so.

Cyberspace Ministry does not trade, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share personal information with outside parties.

In the following limited circumstances we will consider, and may release, personal information to third parties:

  • to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order;

  • to follow-up on special requests initiated by you, such as delivery of the materials requested by you;

  • in special cases, such as a physical threat to you or others.

Also, Cyberspace Ministry may provide some aggregate statistics about our users which do not allow them to be identified or contacted. For example, we could inform our visitors regarding the number of users of our site and the activities they conduct while on our site. We could also inform that «30% of our users live in North America» or that «25% of our users have taken part in our monthly drawing.»

According to our Monthly Drawing official rules, all winners consent to the posting of their name and country on a list of winners published on the Monthly Drawing webpage.

Part 3:  How Cyberspace Ministry Handles Privacy Internally

Cyberspace Ministry wants your personal information to remain as secure as reasonably possible. That is why we have developed a system that combines leading technical safeguards and a code of conduct for those employees that are permitted to access our users’ personal information.

On the technical side, Cyberspace Ministry uses all means available to help ensure the integrity and privacy of the personal information you provide to us via the Internet. We prevent unauthorized access by a secure firewall and use of security infrastructure. Our best efforts and keeping up with industry standards regarding security is our pledge to you.

On the employee side, only authorized Cyberspace Ministry employees are permitted to access your personal information. All Cyberspace Ministry employees must abide by our Privacy Policy.

Part 4:  Your Privacy Choices

You may opt out of submitting some personal information (age group, sex, religion, country...) at the point where Cyberspace Ministry requests information about the user.

At any time you may opt out of receiving any communications from Cyberspace Ministry.

Part 5:  Updating Your Personal Information and Contacting Us

At any time, you can contact us in order to:

  • update the personal information that you have provided to us;

  • delete your personal information from our database.

We always strive to make the changing of your personal options as easy as possible.

Part 6:  Acceptance of Privacy and Security Policy

By using this site and services, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy and Security Policy. If you do not agree or are not comfortable with any policy described in this Privacy statement, your only remedy is to stop using this site and services.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy and Security Policy at any time. If we change our policy, we will post those changes on our site so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. Your continued use of any portion of the site following notification or posting of such changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes. Remember that protection of your privacy begins with you.
