Discover Your Spiritual Gifts

«Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.» (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).

God has given every one of His children certain abilities in order to fulfill a particular function in His Church. These are called «spiritual gifts» (1 Corinthians 12:1) and are described as «the manifestation of the Spirit» (1 Corinthians 12:7). There are many spiritual gifts, and this assessment covers 26 of them (you can click on any of these gifts to learn more about it):

Most of the statements deal with your feelings or desires, so be sure to give your own opinion of yourself. Let your answers reflect how you feel at the present time. «And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Understand you what you read?” (...) Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached to him Jesus.» (Acts 8:30,35).
«I have filled him with the Spirit of God, (...) in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.» (Exodus 31:3-5).
«When he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.» (Luke 10:33,34).
«From a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.» (2 Timothy 3:15).
«He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.» (Isaiah 40:11).
«And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was on Saul, that David took a harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well.» (1 Samuel 16:23). Do you feel you have David the musician’s ability?
«I was hungry, and you gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and you took Me in: naked, and you clothed Me: I was sick, and you visited Me: I was in prison, and you came to Me.» (Matthew 25:35,36).
«I have made myself servant to all, that I might gain the more. And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews. (...) I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.» (1 Corinthians 9:19,20,22).
«It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Why, brothers, look you out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.» (Acts 6:2,3). Do you feel you are like one of these seven men?
«God was with him, (...) and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.» (Acts 7:9,10).
«This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the Spirit, he spoke and taught diligently the things of the Lord.» (Acts 18:25).
«They were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, “Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”» (Acts 2:7,8). Have people ever told you something like that?
«Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write to you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith.» (Jude verse 3).
«For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and counts the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?» (Luke 14:28).
«But [Jesus] turned, and said to Peter, “Get you behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me: for you mind not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”» (Matthew 16:23). Can you discern good from evil, like Jesus did here?
«(...) confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.» (Acts 14:22).
«This poor widow has cast more in than all they which have cast into the treasury: for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.» (Mark 12:43,44).
«But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believes not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: and thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.» (1 Corinthians 14:24,25). Have you ever prophesied with this same result?
«She sought us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there.” And she constrained us.» (Acts 16:15).
«Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.» (Colossians 4:12).
«And when He had called to Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.» (Matthew 10:1).
«And with many such parables [Jesus] spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.» (Mark 4:33). Can you easily use creative forms of communication, like Jesus did here?
«These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.» (Hebrews 11:13).
«Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and giving of alms which she did.» (Acts 9:36).
«I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.» (Luke 21:15).
«When I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain.» (1 Thessalonians 3:5).

«Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.» (Colossians 3:16).
«Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.» (1 Peter 5:2,3).
«In the law it is written, “With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak to this people.”» (1 Corinthians 14:21).
«He that has two coats, let him impart to him that has none; and he that has meat, let him do likewise.» (Luke 3:11).
«To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.» (Philippians 3:1). Do you feel you could easily do this?
«Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.» (1 John 4:1).
«I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you.» (Titus 1:5).
«I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.» (1 Timothy 2:1).
«Beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.» (2 Peter 3:17,18).
«If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.» (John 13:14).
«Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, That whoever shall say to this mountain, “Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea,” and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass, he shall have whatever he said.» (Mark 11:22,23).
«Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.» (2 Timothy 4:2).
«Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.» (James 5:14,15). Do you feel you could do something for this sick person?
«Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.» (Genesis 6:14).
«Let us go again and visit our brothers in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.» (Acts 15:36).
«These signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; (...) they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.» (Mark 16:17,18).
«Use hospitality one to another without grudging.» (1 Peter 4:9).
«Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name!» (Psalm 103:1).
